Bone conserving design combined with proven technologies provide ultra low wear with increased stability.
The Recap® Total Hip Resurfacing System combines a cemented resurfacing device and a one-piece, press-fit acetabular component as an effective alternative to total hip arthroplasty.
The bone preserving Rebus® resurfacing system minimises femoral and acetabulum bone resection whilst maximising the restoration of normal patient anatomy.
In addition, the Recap® KS Alignment Device ensures efficient reproducible and reliable implant positioning without the need for considerable visualisation and user experience.
Additional features:
- Metal on Metal articulation removes the risk of polyethylene induced osteolysis, whilst 2mm incremented large-head diameters help to produce a precise anatomical fit.
- As-cast, high carbon/high carbide, CoCr provides superior wear resistance when compared to single or multiple heat treated materials.
- Biomet’s proven Titanium Porous Plasma Spray Coating and 4 pairs of fins enhance rotational stability and internal fixation of the acetabular component. Accurate and reproducible Recap® instrumentation helps simplify the surgical technique and reduce operating time.
- System flexibility provided by acetabular compatibility with M2a-Magnum large diameter modular head provides versatility without compromise) a Total System Approach.
